This is a very fast and easy Photoshop tutorial that gives text the illusion of being "twisted". Some people may not see this, but I see the text as being twisted in my opinion. If you see it twisted or not, it is a simple and unique effect.
- Open Photoshop and make a new image. Size it to fit your text. For this example, I will use 1000px width and 200px height with transparent background.

- Type out something in a light color.

- Right click on the layer thumbnail and select "Select Layer Transparency".

- Right click on the layer text and select "Duplicate Layer...". Click "OK".

- While the new layer is selected, click the "Add layer mask" button at the bottom of your "Layers" panel.

- Modify the text color to a darker tone and make it italic using the "Faux Italic" button, not from the font style drop-down.

- This step may not have to be done if the problem is not visible. Especially if you are using capital letters, you will get one or more of the shadow (italic) text characters running into the characters immediately right of them. To fix this, use the "Pencil Tool" with a thick brush size to draw black on the mask where these imperfections are visible.

That's it! Whatever you make of it, it's unique effect may look differently with various fonts, so play around with it.
